Educational Qualification (As on 05.10.2026)
For Senior Personal Assistant:
- Graduate from a recognised University.
- Shorthand speed of not less than 110 w.p.m. in English.
- Typewriting speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on Computer.
- Good working knowledge of Computer.
For Personal Assistant:
- Graduate from a recognised University.
- Shorthand speed of not less than 100 w.p.m. in English.
- Typewriting speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on Computer.
- Good working knowledge of Computer.
Candidates must possess the essential qualifications as on the last date of online application. The final result should have been declared on or before the closing date.

Delhi High Court SPA & PA Selection Process 2026
The selection process has four stages. Candidates must qualify each stage individually.
Stage I – English Typing Test (Qualifying)
- Typing test of 10 minutes on computer.
- Minimum speed: 40 words per minute in English typing.
- Permissible mistakes: 3% of total words typed.
Stage II – English Shorthand Test
- For SPA: 110 w.p.m.; passage of 550 words dictated in 5 minutes.
- For PA: 100 w.p.m.; passage of 500 words dictated in 5 minutes.
- Total marks: SPA – 120, PA – 110.
- Transcription time: 45 minutes.
- Permissible mistakes: 5% of total words dictated.
- Each candidate gets two attempts; the best score is considered.
Stage III – Main (Descriptive) Examination
- Essay (250 words) – 40 Marks
- Letter Writing – 15 Marks
- Grammar & Comprehension – 25 Marks
- Translation (Hindi to English – 10; English to Hindi – 10)
- Total Marks: 100
- Time: 120 Minutes
- Minimum passing marks: 50% for General, 45% for Reserved categories.
Stage IV – Interview
- Total Marks: 15
- No minimum qualifying marks.
The final merit list is prepared by adding marks from Stage II, Stage III, and Stage IV. Stage I is qualifying in nature.
